Where are you from?

Houston, Texas Baby! Born & Raised.

You just released your debut album: ‘Black Hearts Don’t Break’! Talk to us about the inspiration for this groovy R&B album.

BHDB started off as a 3 Song EP that really took on a life of its own once I started the recording process. I had lost count of how many records I had been writing and recording and my producer started asking “Well, what about this record we did and what about this one?” lol Long story short, I found a place for them all and this became the album and experience that it is as you’re hearing it today.

Your company, The 713 Agency, is also your management. How does knowing the business side of music help you as an artist?

I actually took time away from recording music to LEARN the music business due to several bad business deals prior to my decision to temporality retire from being in the spotlight. I submerged myself in all that happens behind the scenes and launched “The 713 Agency”, A Full Service Management Firm that consists of a team of handpicked industry professionals who have help to relaunch my career!

Your 5th song on the album, ‘Summer Body’, is featuring Paul Wall. What was it like working with Paul Wall?
