2020 Voter's Resource Guide for Marginalized Communities by Deven Dickens

Written By: Philip Johnson

Our 2020 U.S. Presidential Election is quickly approaching this November 3, 2020! But for those who will be mailing in their votes, you need to be sure to mail them in by October 20th at the latest, to ensure that your vote is counted. With the Republicans working hard to suppress left voters, it is critical information like this that our marginalized voting communities need in order to ensure that we get Trump out of office. Deven Dickens’ DVINCI1998 is helping educate our communities on the voting process to combat voter suppression.

Deven Dickens is a Political Scientist from California State University, who recently wrote a “A Voter’s Resource Guide” to help marginalized communities realize their worth. “People of all backgrounds and classes have power in their vote and their voices,” Dickens stated.

DVINCI1998 is a “catalyst for creatives and community wellness.” Their mission is to encourage creativity by providing education, essentials, and events to those in need. "A Voter's Resource Guide To Combating Voter Suppression And Empowering Marginalized Communities" focuses on setting up the basic structure on how to vote, what voter suppression looks like, and how to prevent voter suppression in your community. This PDF is free to the public and is intended to help others understand the power they hold with their civic duty.
