Philaye Films Sci-Fi Dramedy Film "Jamaal" Sets Cast & Filming Dates!

2024 is an exciting time for Philaye Films, as new films set filming dates and we prepare to begin releasing films shot last year before the strike! The first Philaye Films project going into production in March 2024 is a Sci-Fi dramedy short film titled: “Jamaal”. Matthew Jennings, Philip Johnson, Jaquan Solomon and Arabia Little will star in this Sci-Fi dramedy film about a friendly AI Android robot named Jamaal who is brought into a gay couple’s home. The Sci-Fi film world in 2024 contains a lot of cool AI plots, and we are excited to bring one to the Black LGBTQ+ film space!

The film was written and Executive Produced by Philip Johnson. Producers Taariq Muhammad, Sophia McPherson and Kevin Moore have also joined the team.

“Jamaal” is set to go into production in March 2024 in Los Angeles, and it will release later in 2024. Stay tuned and follow @Jamaalthefilm for updates!
